Bingo hall brawl with punches, swinging handbags and hair pulling as cops swarm 'carnage'
A Sunday evening session of bingo descended into chaos when a mass brawl broke out - reportedly after the crowd erupted in jeers when a man was thrown out of the venue
Shocking footage shows the moment a quiet night at bingo descended into complete chaos – with punters hurling punches at each other and scrambling across tables as a mass brawl broke out.
The video captured in the newly opened Club 3000 in Leeds shows how a session on Sunday evening (28 September) developed into a full house of fury as women started yanking at each other’s hair and a man seemingly attempted to punch a female square in the face.
According to one witness, tempers began to fray when one man was ejected from the West Yorkshire venue.
As he was led out of the hall, some of the crowd reportedly started jeering and clapping which is said to have prompted an irate response from the man’s female companion.
This woman then lashed out at another woman in the hall.
This then led to a group of women grappling with each other in the middle of a row of seats while other onlookers stared in complete disbelief. A man wearing a blue top then appears to throw a right jab towards a woman, with one heard exclaiming: 'What the f***'.
Staff and bingo-goers were spotted running across tables in a bid to separate the group before police descended on the scene.
It is unclear what caused the man to be ejected from the hall. One witness described the scene as 'WWE in a bingo hall', adding: “It was absolute chaos. The whole place was in total uproar.
“Women were swinging handbags and pulling each other’s hair. Men were running across the tables to break things up but then getting caught in the middle. I've never seen anything like it.”
Social media users have found the funny side to the video with one user posting the clip with the caption, ‘Leeds bingo for ya’ and another commenting, ‘I wanna try Leeds bingo’.
One other eyewitness commented: “Was carnage, honestly.”
West Yorkshire Police said it was investigating a potential public order crime.
A spokesperson said: “We were called at 9.11pm to a business premises on Balm Road, Hunslet, to reports of an ongoing fight.
“A public order offence is being investigated. There were no reported injuries and enquiries are ongoin
