Stunning footballer turned WWE star makes decision on adult page after quitting wrestling
Stunning footballer-turned-WWE star Jazmyn Nyx has left her fans heartbroken as she announced she is quitting wrestling to ‘explore opportunities’
Footballer-turned-WWE star Jazmyn Nyx has left her fans heartbroken after quitting wrestling.
Jade Gentile, 27, who goes by her more well-known stage name, once played semi-professional football before changing her career. She was a flying winger for Icelandic side UMF Afturelding before she was recruited by WWE's developmental division NXT as part of their NIL program in November 2022.
Nyx most recently was in the ring at the NXT Homecoming event and last year competed in a gauntlet for the Women’s North American Championship, before teaming up with NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne.
But Nyx has now made the decision to quit the production, announcing her decision on a TikTok video to her 45,000 followers.
Nyx said: “As you know, there’s been things circulating. I kind of want to just set the record straight that I am not re-signing with WWE.
“This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and for my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years just wasn’t going to cut it for me financially, and that’s okay.”
Nyx also confirmed that she has declined other projects for WWE. She continued: “There’s been a lot of opportunities that I’ve had to turn down and pass up.
“But, now that I’m out of the job, I can kind of explore these opportunities more and take them more seriously.
“Love my Jazmyn Nyx fans, thank you guys so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years. It’s been an amazing journey, and I will miss you guys.”
Nyx later replied to a fan who claimed she was making between $80,000-150,000 as an NXT talent, rubbishing that suggestion as she replied: “If I was making that that would of [sic] been great!”
She also said she has no plans to start an Only Fans page, commenting: “And no guys I will not be making an OF (laughing face emoji).”
Following her decision to step away, Nyx was written off television with a backstage attack and kicked out of the group on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
Her announcement has now clarified the reason behind the mysterious attack after reports speculated she wouldn’t be re-signing with the company.
Speaking to WrestleRant, she said her wrestling trial was tougher than playing football.
She said: "It's very physically demanding... yes, yes, 100%, soccer is what I thought the hardest sport there is - because in football, obviously, you're taking tackles, but they've got pads! You don't have pads in soccer.
"So you're getting hit hard, you're tackling people hard, it's not a joke! I was like, 'I've got this' as I went to a foreign country and didn't speak their language and I thought I could overcome everything. Then I came here and it pushed me to my limits."
