Ruben Amorim 'frustrated' and gives Man Utd Gyokeres, Mbeumo and Ekitike transfer demand

Ruben Amorim is growing impatient at Manchester United's lack of recruitment this summer transfer window and has laid down the law over targets Viktor Gyokeres, Bryan Mbeumo and Hugo Ekitike

Ruben Amorim is growing impatient with Manchester United bosses over the club's lack of summer signings.

United head to the USA in a month's time for their pre-season tour - and Amorim wants his targets on board before then. The Portuguese coach has become frustrated at United's lack of recruitment since the end of the season.

Amorim handed club chiefs a list months ago of who he would like to bring to Old Trafford. But despite the United squad being in need of a serious overhaul following a shambolic campaign, little has happened to improve the talent at Amorim's disposal.

Targets for United include Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike and Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who played under Amorim there.

Amorim has made it clear to co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe and director of football Jason Wilcox he needs his new signings for the tour to America, so he can bed them into his squad and give them a proper pre-season.

Amorim also wants United to off-load players he does not want as soon as possible, including Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony.

None of these feature in Amorim's plans for next season - and must be sold to raise funds to reinvest in new signings.

But United are struggling to attract serious interest in their outcasts, due to the quartet's astronomical wages.

Rashford is holding out for a move to Barcelona, while Napoli have expressed interest in Sancho and Garnacho, but are unwilling to meet United's valuations of the duo.

United endured their worst season in more than half a century last season, as they finished a dismal 15th place in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham.
