Manchester United avoided a latest embarrassment, but they had to come from behind against Hong Kong in their final game of their post-season South East Asian tour

Manchester United's week of embarrassment almost sunk to new lows with Chido Obi saving Ruben Amorim's blushes.

The Red Devils' torrid season didn't quite come to an end with a rare bright spot with a win against Aston Villa on the final day of the season. Instead, Ruben Amorim and his not-so-merry men jetted to South East Asia.

United had already been beaten by the ASEAN All-Stars on Wednesday afternoon - all while they hosted an open top bus 'parade', Amad flipped off fans and sang 'Glory Glory Man Utd' to fans.

And, on Friday, United jetted from Malaysia to Hong Kong to take on the latter's national team.

Amorim's side had started the better of the two teams, a far cry from their lacklustre outing on Wednesday, but it was Hong Kong who took the lead in the 19th minute.

Tom Heaton was at fault for the goal - after being given the nod between the sticks - with Juninho, no, not that one, sent through on goal.

Heaton had initially pushed Juninho wide, but his limp shot was able to squeeze under the shot-stopper's body and find its way into the back of the net.

When it rains it pours for United - and the heavens opened on the Red Devils as they looked for anything to try and avoided a second defeat in three days.

Chido Obi was their saviour, with the young man coming off the bench to lash the ball into the back of the net.

United were the better team, but like on Wednesday they just couldn't break down the Hong Kong defence.

Mason Mount was convinced he should have had a penalty while Kobbie Mainoo and Ayden Heaven both came close.

It was the youngster, Obi, who saved United's blushes completing the turnaround in the final ten minutes of the clash.

And Heaven put the game beyond any doubt in the 94th minute.
