Erling Haaland goes bald in staggering new look as Man City ace loses long locks
Erling Haaland teased his fans by going bald during his injury recovery as the Manchester City goal machine ditched his iconic long blond hair
Erling Haaland has gone bald during his Manchester City recovery as he teased a new look from his long blond hair.
The City star hasn’t played since injuring his ankle in the FA Cup quarter-final win at Bournemouth at the end of March but is working hard to return before the end of the season, potentially in time for the FA Cup final, should Pep Guardiola’s side beat Nottingham Forest.
Haaland took to his Snapchat to share an insight into his recovery inside City’s training ground. Showing his rehabilitation routine includes gym sessions, thermotherapy, bike sessions in a hypoxic chamber, physiotherapeutic massages, and band resistance stretches.
The 24-year-old posed alongside Nathan Ake, Kevin De Bruyne, and Oscar Bobb, who has played just two Premier League games this season due to suffering setbacks after suffering a leg bone fracture in training.
Haaland also teased fans that he was set to ditch his iconic long locks for a dramatic new style as he posted a picture of him using a hair removal filter, leaving the Norwegian with a shiny bald bonce.
He also gave an insight into how he spends his downtime, with the striker posting him playing Minecraft before eating a meal of rice, peas and jerk chicken.
It’s almost a month since Haaland last played, but his manager gave a promising update that he could return from injury sooner than first thought.
Guardiola said: “Doctors told me five to seven weeks. He’ll be back at the end of the season and for the Club World Cup will be ready.”
The Spaniard added: “He feels better. I said before I don’t know when [he'll return]. It’s not a comfortable injury... He’s getting better step by step. Still he doesn't train with the team but we will see how he does.”
City’s final chance of silverware this season remains in the FA Cup, with a semi-final against Nottingham Forest to come on Sunday. The winner will play either Aston Villa or Crystal Palace in the final.
